The factors that created the dilemma in "Excuse Me While I Explode" are traditional culture, societal norms, gender role expectations, malen dominance, and inequality. I think it is always true that women sacrifice their needs for love and the family even though they have choices, but this belief is different in each society and in each generation. In the mother’s situation, she sacrificed her career and was willing to do everything in the family from early morning to bedtime without complaining because she was expected to be a housewife under the traditional gender role expectations and social pressure. We can also see malen dominance and inequality were clearly revealed when the father complained about his favorite sauce and this tells us that men would showed their power over women because of their feeling of being superiority. The same thing happened to Maduro’s. pAfteroblem, she witnesseding whatow her mother did and believed, she thought the same thing would not happened to her, but it repeatedid. The only difference was she refused her boyfriend’s offer to help because she was concerrined that he could not do what she expected. I think the solution ftor this problem is that theveryone needs to have a talk abodiscutss the responsibilities of each persorn in the house from each of themld; such as whone will do this and twhe other will do that, or at least help each other. Planning ahead what needs to be done the next day also helps when both the man and wife have to work long timehours. Importantly, Maduro should be more flexible and patient with her boyfriend, esin pearticialulyar, she should learn to accept bthe fact thauset things cannot be always be as perfect as she expects.
