My decision to apply for a master's degree course in Accounting , comes from my career aspiration to become a chartered accountant. I specifically enjoy administrative work, numerical and statistical analysis, and opportunities to work with others as a team. I am confident that these strengths and skills will be developed in a master's degree course in accounting, which will further enhance my career in an impeccable way.
During my undergraduate years , my interest in accounting, particularly, rose in the 4th semester when I enrolled in the course of cost accounting. It was then and there whenat I decided that accounting iwas something I want to study at the postgraduate level as well as pursue as a long-term career. ButHowever, due to the nature of the course outline, not even a single accounting course was being offered in the coming semesters.
In July 2015, I started my first job at SS. Marketing & Builders as an accountant. My activities include keeping records of accounts payable , accounts receivable ,bookkeeping and office budget. Throughout this job, I have learned how to apply all the important accounting principles to a real world environment, which has helped me incredibly to broaden my horizons and motivated me to further pursue an education in the accounting field at the postgraduate level.
During my one year experience in this field, I have realized that in order to climb the corporate hierarchy, it is essential for me to get a masters degree in accounting. A masterThis degree qualifin caccountiong will not only give me an in-depth understanding of this field, but will also help me tremendously to get ahead in my career.
My current IELTS result (7.5 bands) show that my English language speaking and listening skills are developed the most, followed by my reading and writing skills. It clearly indicates that I possess enough knowledge of the language to communicate properly and convey my ideas in an effective manner. A few years back I couldn't even put together a single sentence of English without making several grammar mistakes. Upon realizing the importance of the language, I started putting in some serious effort to improve my English and my current IELTS score shows my dedication, will, and hard work.
I plan to put in the same amount of hard work and dedication in my masters degree program. I' will ensure that I graduate not only with a piece of paper in my hand, but also a deep and clear understanding of the accounting principles and its usagepplication in the practical working environment.
After I finish my graduate studies, my long-term plan to seek employment in a reputable accounting firm like A.F. Ferguson & Co., KMPG, Ernest & Young etc. While working, I will study for the CA exam until I pass and acquire the CA designation.
I look forward to the challenge of a master's degree course and am confident that I have the intellectual abilities and academic motivation to make a success of it.
