In this class, I learned to accept the skin I'm in. Being a dark skin Africandark-skinned African- American female wasn't an easy journey for me. Not just that I was dark skinskinned but, on top of that, I was also Nigerian on top of that. I useused to get bullied about how dark I'mIwas and how I should go back to where I came from. Today, dark is considered beautiful and everyone wants to be Nigerian. Because I wasn't happy with the skin I'mI was in and, it later affected me in a negative way.
