An example of a decision impacting your life would be when Michael Brown was charged with murder, and got a life sentence without parole

Sometimes, it’s our actions that get us into trouble. The main character
(Bobby) in the book Hearts in Atlantis, Bobby, beats up one of his teammates on his summer camp baseball team. The kid barely survives the beating. AllThis was all because they lost against the other team, soand he blamed his teammate for the loss. (Pgs(pgs. 200-202.).
It can be more difficult to make decisions when you’re being influenced by other people, whether or not you realise it. In the article “Invisible Influences
, they mention that even if you’re going against what people are doing, you’re still being influenced. In the book Hearts in Atlantis, Bobby is told on multiple occasions by his mother not to hang out with the new neighbor named Ted. Bobby’s mom truly thinks that Ted is a pedophile, and that he’s going to touch/ hurt Bobby. (Pgs(pgs. 101-102, 25-28.).
In conclusion, our decisions and actions can and
sometimes willdo affect our lives.
