Mr. Abdul Alim, aged 25, Village-Kayemkhola, Thana Jhikorgasa, District-Jessore, dropped out fromf school when he was only 14 years old, and he took on the full family responsibility as a day labour, er. One day, he was offered the chance to go to Malaysia by his neighbour, Sagor. Alim agreed and handed over tTaka 1One lLac to Sagor. After four months, Sagor confirmed Alim’s visa and called him to Dhaka, along with oTaka One lLac taka more to pay for medical and finger tests. Alim sold his land ftor managinge to pay this money. Sagor assured Alim’s that he wioulld go to aboroad for a good job. He offered Alim toa visit ato cCoxsbazar. Alim went to cCoxsbazar with Sagor. After three days, Alim was introduced witho a person of Teknaf and stayed in a hotel in cCoxsbazar. That person offered Alim a torip gto to Malaysia through Teknaf, and demanded tTaka oOne lLac. Sagor also motivated Alim ftor make thae trip, and promised to back the rest of the money. Alim agreed. After four days, Alim was handed over to another dalal at Teknaf byfor fifty thousand tTaka., Bbut he refused to go to Malaysia. After his refusal, he was confined in a house and tortured physically. The dalal threatened to kill him and thrown his body into the sea. Then Alim was forced to get up inboard a ship. After eleven days, ‘Thai’ police cafoughtnd him with other peoples ion the ship. He was freed from police custody by giving fifty thousand tTaka more to a dalal in Thailand through Sagor. The ‘Thai’ dalal kept them in a garden and promised to send them to send Malaysia. After seventeen days, the ‘Thai’ dalal handed thandem over them to the dalal of ‘Malaysia’. Then again, they were caught by the Malaysian police and, jailed for four months, and sent back to Bangladesh with the support of the Bangladeshi dalal.
