Formal means of reinforcement.
An example of a formal reinforcement at my current organization is, that all employees are awarded a quarterly bonus when we achieve our sales target. 4Four years ago, before I started working for this company, the quarterly bonus was available to only to managers and sales representatives. Therefore, employees who were not part of the quarterly bonus were lackadaisical when it came to pushing orders out to achieve the target.
Some of the common problems that existed before all employees were involved in the quarterly bonus were as follows:
1-. Shipping department / Warehouse – wilould sometimes pick small orders over large orders which wioulld not help us achieve our sales target.
2-. Customer Service Department – did not call customers, when itherems were out -of -stock items to let find out, if they wicoulld substitute the out -of -stock item(s) for something else before shipping/.
3-. Accounting Department- – sometimes forgot to invoice orders right away when they were shipped.
After several talks and warnings to staff about this persennial issue art work, management finally decided to involve all staff in the quarterly bonuses. Since then, from the time I have been with this company, there hasn’t been a time that we have n’ot achieved our sales target.
This formal reinforcement has created a supportive work environment in which all employees work together as one in achieving the sales target, and all the employees know that receiving a quarterly bonus is contingent on achieving sales targets.

Informal means of reinforcement.
My current company has monthly actievienties in which we go out for activities like bowling, mini golf, as well as team -building activities like the locked room. We also volunteer every Christmas at the Samaritan Purse, and sometimes we all go out to eat together. These activities help in building up the team spirit in the organization.
