Construction sequence for station OR22: Two separate launch shafts for westbound and eastbound drives were initially proposed by ITD initially. However, ITD also proposed in the meeting that one single shaft within the station, for both TBM drives, may be adopted, with a temporary wall to separate the westbound from the eastbound area. This is so that the second drive (eastbound drive) can be carried out whilst the west side of the box can be handed over to the MEP team for fitting -out work, after the first drive has been completed. However, this would make the construction of the launch shaft the critical path. ITD to confirm the minimum dimensions of the shaft. Khun Parithat also advised that the shoving frames would be fixed onto the base slab, meaning that a thrust wall will not be required.
