An atom is athe fundamental and smallest unit of an ordinary piece of Mattermatter. An Atomatom itself is made up of three kinds of Particlesparticles, called subatomic Particlesparticles: Protonsprotons, Neutronsneutrons, and Electrons (braidelectrons (Braid, 2012). The Protonsprotons and the Neutronsneutrons make up the centre of the Atomatom, called the Nucleusnucleus, and the Electronselectrons fly around and above the Nucleus in a small cloud. An Atomatom is the defining structure of an Elementelement, which cannot be broken by any chemical means.
