Introduce myself My Introduction

My name is Revaa Balakrishnan, and I’m a Grade 9 student currently attending Louise Arbour Secondary School. I’m 14 years old, and I was born on May 31, 2004, in Brampton, ON. As a student, I like to believe I’m an ambitious and focused learner who’s always looking for new opportunities to try new things. I hope as I move further into my studies, these characteristics will benefit me as a student and help me achieve many things.

Growing up, I loved to swim and, quite frankly, I still do to this day. Over the span of 8 years, I managed to finish all the stages, including the 3 lifeguarding courses at the age of 13. I grew very passionate about swimming over these 8 years, and I’m planning to join a competitive team very soon. This gives me an opportunity to try something that I haven’t done yet.

Over the summer of 2018, I volunteered at Mayfield Recreation Complex for 2 weeks, 9am-1pm from 9am to 1pm. Over these 2 weeks, II’ve assisted children in learning how to swim by physically helping them and communicating with them. Currently, I’ve enrolled myselfsigned up to continue volunteering to startstarting September 17,17th from 5:30pm-8pm30pm to 8pm. I do enjoy volunteering at Mayfield Recreation Complex, and, overall, it is an advantageous experience that could benefit me in the future, especially when it comes to getting a job forwhen I become a high school student.
