Dear Mr & Mrs. Cade,

Hi, I am Ponyboy Curtis, one of the Greaser gang members. I would like to say that Johnny is quite shy. He says nothing back when someone says something about him and he is brave. When the Socs attack, he can protect himself and others. Johnny has a terrible home life. Mr. Cade, you always beat him up, and he always endured. Mrs. Cade, you always ignored Johnny and yelled at him. He would have run away a million times if I and the gang and I hadn’t been there. Johnny would never have known what love and affection are. Johnny taught that he doesn’t really have a family so our gang was the closest thing that resemblesresembled one. He is a sensitive boy as well.
