1. Language skills
I have an excellent command of English acquired through working in international contexts. For instance, I have implemented the project Trans-Making (H2020) focused on creating a worldwide network of researchers in the field of democratic development. I develop partnerships in English among actors from China, Cuba, and Egypt. Moreover, I am bilingual in Spanish and Catalan, and I have good oral and written French skills. Currently, I am a European volunteer in Marseille, where I carry out communication tasks in French and English for the Interreg Med.
2. Analytical and Research Skills
Working as a researcher, I have developed analytical competencies in data analysis and problem-solving. To point out, I synthesized large volumes of data to identify relevant and reliable information about migrations policies. I also know how to communicate the information gathered synthetically and visually.
On the other hand, I have learned to be decisive in finding solutions to everyday problems. For instance, while working for the Valencian Regional Government, I have faced a lack of data due to badpoor communication between departments. I have solved this problem by contacting the person in charge and designing a protocol to improve internal communication between the departments.
Furthermore, I have good knowledge of descriptive statistics, statistical inference, calculation and analysis of social indicators such as the Gini coefficient or the Human Development Index. Besides that, I manage databases properly in programs such as Excel, SPSS and R.
3. Communication and team working Skills
I am used to working in international teams where it is vital to correctly interpretsinterpret messages from others and respondsrespond appropriately. Besides, I believe in the importance of listening to co-workers and learning from them. I always ask for questions to avoid confusion among the team to achieve common goals and build trust.
