Firstly, Childrenchildren with psychological problems are caused by parental corporal punishment. Most Chinese parents chosechoose physical punishments to educationeducate their children because it is the easiest and most effective way, but parent’s corporal education, at the same time, have ignored the children’s feeling. The child will be less and less confident, that is why Chinese people have less confidence than Westerners. “Corporal punishment is a controversial and perplexing area of the law based on our personal perceptions and, for many people, an inability to view the use of corporal punishment objectively. For most people, an objective analysis of what is considered acceptable and within the scope of the law regarding the use of corporal punishment becomes an insurmountable challenge when we believe that those who are at risk are those we view as most vulnerable in society—children” (Zerante). As the author said, corporal punishment is the worst for the most vulnerable in society—children. Moreover, children will doubt themselves when they do anything, and their personality is more and more introverted and not limited to expression. So their psychological problems will be more serious.
