He has a landlord from Chicago that I rentrented from for 3three years, but last year it was his last release in April 2019.
Mr. Giles gave them a letter informing them that he was not going to release the contract again, and the Reasonreason was that they themselves were renting the premises to other people without their knowledge.
The letter said that he could no longer release the restaurant to them and would not make the contract for the 3three years. They also owed bills, State Taxesstate taxes, and their workers were paid via cash.
So, they proceeded not to leave. Since May of last year, there has been no rent payment while they have rented the place on their own, they. They have left the restaurant in August 2019, they have disappeared and hasn'thaven't delivered the keys or anything for Mr. Giles.
He did not know anything about the landlords. Mr. Giles took an attorney for them to proceed to pay a lawsuit that included rent totaling $32,000.
The lawyer proceeded with the case and, in January of 2020, Mr. Giles took possession of the place again. The lawyer said it would take a long time if he wanted to continue fighting the rent.
Mr. Giles preferred to close himthe case since he already had access to his premises, and the case was closed.
What did Mr. Giles do to avoid the lawsuit?
He did nothing because he was unaware of the lawsuit and the lawsuit was in Lake County.
What is the reason for the demand?
They want the release again, and forthey want Mr. Giles to pay them $50,000 for material losses.
