Early Life
Khadija RA was born to merchants of the Qurashi tribe. Khadijah was born to a life of privilege. Her family was important in Mekka and utterly wealthy; she could have lived a life of effortlessness all her days. The Qurashi tribe ruled Makkah. The noble tribe had significant respect. Khadijah, however, was an intelligent and industrious young woman who enjoyed the business and became very skilled. When her father died, the young woman took charge of the family business, which thrived and grew under her direction.
Marriage To The Prophet SAW
Khadijah had many workers, including her agent's important place, who travelledtraveled with her caravans, arranged deals in other towns, and took responsibility for the vast sums of money involved in the trading. Khadija wanted an honest man for the job. Muhammad SAW was a young man known for his honesty. Khadija hired Muhammad. She employed Muhammad when he was around 20. He proved to be a very excellent employee. Khadija had already married two men before marrying the Prophet SAW. Later, Khadija offered him marriage. She was approximately 45 years old. The Prophet SAW and Khadijah had a few children. Muhammad SAW's two sons passed away at a young age. They had 4four daughters,; Umm Kulthum, Ruqayyah, Zaynab, and Fatimah.
Message From Allah
Muhammad meditated in a cave outside Mecca from time to time, and one afternoon he returned home from the cave tired and terrified, calling to Khadijah for help. Angel Gabriel had spoken to him with a message from Allah, he told her, but he didn't know what it meant. Khadija believed in Muhammad. She told him that it was fine and that the news was good, not frightening. Khadijah became the first convert to Islam, and through the trials that lay ahead remained, she was Muhammad's staunchest believer, ally, and friend.
