My name is Maria Rodriguez, and I am a New York State -licensed Ffuneral Ddirector. I know it might be a bit unusual for a funeral director to look for an Aadministrative Aassistant position, but I'll explain how my experiences might come in handy. As a Ffuneral Ddirectors, we uphold a lot of responsibilities, such as helping grieving families plan services, organizeing wakes and memorials, and handling lots of legal documents. So, there is a lot of communication going on with very difficult and different people, and a lot of clerical work. We have to make sure the person making the arrangements is the actual next of kin, and help them figure out what is the best alternative is for them. The most difficult part I didhave fiound myself in was when the topic of finance came up. Despite of the difficult time that a family is going through, ultimately it is a business. So iIf thea family wais financially distressed, most of the time they will gihave a lot of problems. Since I am human, it would be hard for to discuss finances with the family without feeling sympathy.
